| Abstrak | The purpose of this research is to reveal the meaning of retribution for parking services officer. This phenomenon departs from the fact that most people view accounting only from one side, including the concept of retribution which is viewed only as the element of material. Whereas in the social reality, the meaning of retribution can viewed from many aspects. This type of research is qualitative research using interpretive paradigm. This research uses hermeneutics method formulated by Gadamer as a tool to discover new meaning of retribution. The results show that the retribution is interpreted differently by the informants. The meaning of retribution for informants includes: deposits, fees, consequences, and voluntary work. Based on four meanings above, the meaning of retribution for the parking officer is revealed, as deposits in the form of fees earned as a consequence of voluntary work in the parking area. |
